Meet Madame Merci
Madame Merci (she/her) is the Madame and founder of Conscious Burlesque. She teaches workshops, private lessons, leads classes and performs regularly.
Madame Merci works with people to discover, explore, and ignite their sensual flame.
She believes we live in a culture and a time where shame still fills so many there is great significance in being able to stand in your sexuality, your body, and your being and say, “This is it, this is me.”
Madame Merci describes the Art of the strip, as a shedding of layers. She says , “We shed layers of doubt, of insecurity, and of cultural taboo that have held us and that so many are still held by. We dance for a type of freedom that very few ever have the privilege to feel.”

I can not even begin to put words to the experience that I have had dancing, sharing and witnessing with Boulder Burlesque. Initially I was uncertain what this would have in store for me yet felt called to be involved with a conscious group of women approaching and expressing their own sexuality. I immediately fell in love and became empowered at the idea of bringing a message to society in regard to a sex positive culture and providing a container to experience all that falls on the range of sensuality and sexuality.
