Teacher Training
The workshop teacher training provides teachers the skills necessary to begin teaching Conscious Burlesque workshops in their own communities. Each of these sessions are designed for those who want developing skills leading Conscious Burlesque workshops.
Who
Those who wish to become Conscious Burlesque instructors are required to choreograph a group dance, participate in 3 (4 hour) Zoom training sessions, and one online weekend intensive.

Learn how to lead a group of inspired, empowered, confident and self aware Conscious Burlesque Performers.
This online course allows participants to be qualified to teach Conscious Burlesque Workshops. Areas covered will include: Philosophy of Conscious Burlesque, Activism and Civic Engagement, Body Image Exploration, Group Dynamics, Rehearsal Details, Knowing your Audience, Conflict Mediation (How to work w/ divas!) Leadership Skills Healthy Boundaries On and Off Stage Burlesque Identity Formation Marketing and Publicity Web Design Altruism, and engaging with queer competency.

Our group will meet 3 times via Zoom (4 hour sessions). There may be people attending this workshop from multiple time zones – please be aware of time zone differences.
The Conscious Burlesque Teacher Training is a 3 Day Training (4 hours per session) once a month for 3 months via Zoom followed by a weekend online intensive.
The training includes 1 (1 hour) follow up Zoom coaching session following the formal training for additional support once you have begun teaching. Following the training you will be equipped to begin leading Conscious Burlesque workshops in your area.
